I’m not sure whether to choose gold or silver, do you have any advice?

Both colors have their charm, and the most important thing in your choice is what makes you happy. You can also consider which color matches your interior best. Does your interior have a lot of gray tones and cool colors? Then silver might be the best choice. If your interior is warmer, with beige, red, or yellowish colors, gold lamps would be a perfect match.

What are the pros and cons of silver lamps?

• Pros of silver lamps: Silver lamps are the most popular and fit into almost any interior. Silver is timeless and easy to combine with other elements. Also good to know: the lamp will look much warmer if you use a warm-toned bulb.
• Cons of silver lamps: A downside of silver lamps is that they require more maintenance than gold lamps. To keep them shiny and silver, we recommend spraying them twice a year with a protective layer (Silverplater). Some people actually prefer the lamp to darken over time, as it adds to the authenticity of the handmade product. If you’re one of those people, this "con" doesn’t apply, and you don’t need to do anything to maintain your lamp.

What are the pros and cons of gold lamps?

• Pros of gold lamps: If you want your lamp to stand out more, gold is a great choice. Gold is a trendy and warm color, and a gold Oriental lamp can give your entire room a lift. Another advantage of a gold lamp is that it’s easy to maintain. Aside from occasional dusting, you don’t need to do anything.
• Cons of gold lamps: The lamp may show some color variations over time. But whether this is a downside is up for debate. We believe it only adds to the lamp’s authenticity.

Which lamps work well with a low ceiling?

If you have a relatively low ceiling, there are still plenty of options. Our ceiling lamps always work well with a low ceiling and are available in both silver and gold. Another smart option is to focus on wall lamps, possibly combined with table lamps. Prefer a pendant lamp? Then choose a small pendant lamp or one that spreads out more horizontally, like our Gabs model.

Which lamps work well with a high ceiling?

With a high ceiling, elongated models can be very beautiful, such as the Elegance, the Grace, the Tropic, and the Tahrir. Another stunning option is grouping lamps at different heights. I want to read/eat/work well under my pendant lamp, which lamps offer the most light?

Looking for a lamp that gives off plenty of light? Choose a pendant lamp with a medium to large opening at the bottom. This is the selection that is most suitable for this purpose. The advantage of our Egyptian lamps is that they are always both functional and atmospheric. The functional aspect comes from the light that shines directly through the opening at the bottom, while the atmospheric aspect comes from the light that is softly filtered through the small holes.

Can I hang the lamp outside?

The lamps are primarily designed for indoor use. If you choose to hang them outside, a covered area is essential. We also recommend swapping the socket for an outdoor socket. We cannot guarantee that the color of the lamp will remain the same, but if you're okay with that, go for it!
